As has been the case for the past couple of years, captain Milce Modano, "the Rooster Cogburn of hockey," has been saddled with most of the goal scoring responsibilities. And when the Rooster went down with a broken ankle at the end of last season, you could pretty much send the rest of the Stars out to pasture for the whole of the '96 season. The saving grace is the presence of the Harcher boys. Lead by hulking Kevin and his creatively named brother Derian, the Dallas backline has that ominous anything can happen feel about it. Playoffs? Nosiree!
